2015 GMC Terrain

I FOUND A LARGE MOUSE NEST UNDER THE ENGINE COVER I CLEANED IT OUT AND HAD TO APPLY SOME LIQUID TAPE TO COVER UP SOME EXPOSED WIRES. I SCANNED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND THAT IT HAD CODES P0010 AND P0011 FOR THE INTAKE CAMSHAFT POSITION ACTUATOR SOLENOID. THE WIRES DIDN'T APPEAR TO BE DAMAGED AND I REMOVED IT TO INSPECT THE OIL SCREENS AND FOUND NO CLOGS. I THEN CHECKED RESITANCE OF THE SOLENOID AND FOUND IT TO HAVE 146 KILOHMS AND SPEC IS BETWEEN 8-13 OHMS RECOMMEND REPLACING THE INTAKE POSITION ACTUATOR SOLENOID

Mileage132,756Service Date2/27/2025Services Performed- Confirm customer concern. Test drove vehicle monitored misfires on live data. Switch cylinder 2 and 3 coils retest drove and misfire did not move. Went to swap cylinder 2 and 3 plugs and found cylinder 3 full of fuel. This indicates that the injector is bad. Will need to remove injector and bench test st this time.
- REPLACED FUEL INJECTORS AND TEST DROVE VEHICLE. VEHICLE RUNS GOOD. INSPECTED LIVE DATA FOR MISFIRES AND DATA SHOWS CYLINDER 1 HAD A LOT OF MISFIRES MOVED COILS AND PLUGS AROUND MISFIRES STAYED ON CYLINDER ONE. AFTER INSPECTING FOUND THAT CYLINDER ONE IS IMBALANCED DUE TO AFTER MARKET INJECTOR. VEHICLE RUNS FINE BUT LIVE DATA IS PICKING UP THE IMBALANCE AND COUNTING IT AS A MISFIRE.
- TESTED FUEL INJECTORS. WILL NEED TO REPLACE ALL OF THE INJECTORS

THIS VERIFYS THAT DRAW IS FROM RADIO HEAD UNIT, THIS COULD BE INTERNAL FAULT OF RADIO, OR A WIRE CONNECTED TO CONSTANT 12V INSTEAD OF IGNITION ON VOLTAGE.

REC REPLACEMENT OF BELT. *** WHEN INSTALLING NEW BELT FOUND THAT IDLER/ POWER STEERING PULLYS ROCK BACK AND FORTH, REMOVED POWER STEERING PUMP TO INSPECT TENSIONER THAT WAS RECENTLY INSTALLED FOUND ON BOLT MISSING AND MIDDLE BOLT NOT TIGHT, REMOVED TENSIONER TO FURHTER INSPECT FOUND THAT BOLTS HAVE BEEN BROKEN OGG IS WATER PASSAGE, ONE LEFT BROKEN WITH NO NEW BOLT INSTALLED, THE MIDDLE BOLT IT APPEARS THEY GROUND DOWN AND DRILLED THROUGH, INSTALLING A LONG SMALL BOLT AND NUT IN ITS PLACE THIS WAS ALSO NOT TIGHTENED DOWN ENOUGH BOTTOM BACK BOLT AND HOLE IS FINE BUT BOLT WAS FINGER TIGHT, AT THIS TIME DUE TO THEM DRILLING THROUGH AND GRINDING DOWN MIDDLE BOLT HOLE I CANNOT PROPERLY REPAIR THE DAMAGE PREVIOUS SHOP DID TO WATER PASSAGE AND THE PART WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED.
